•The meeting focused on six key areas: preventing and combating illicit activities at sea, maritime search and rescue, marine environmental protection, information sharing, joint exercises, and capacity building.
•Experts and scholars have been invited to discuss two key themes: the Global Security Initiative and maritime law enforcement related to ocean carbon sinks.
The meeting brings coast guard agencies together to share experience, build trust and explore new areas of cooperation. Different challenges, but one shared responsibility: keeping our oceans safe and sustainable.
