The fifth Global Digital Trade Expo will open in Hangzhou on Sept 23, with its AI exhibition area showcasing new applications, technologies, and industry connections. The expo is set to open to the public at 1 pm on Sept 24 and run until 2 pm on Sept 27.

The AI exhibition area will focus on embodied intelligence and feature three core sections covering data connectivity, computing power, and model innovation.

For the first time, the expo will feature a dedicated section on integrated circuits and their applications, extending its focus to AI chips, advanced materials, optical interconnection, and edge AI. Companies will showcase technologies ranging from high-end indium-based thermal interface materials to 3D compute-in-memory technology.

A new "HATCH-TECH" innovation ecosystem area will connect AI startups with investors, industrial funds, leading companies, and industrial parks through exhibitions, pitches, livestreaming, and business matchmaking.

The AI exhibition area will also debut a group exhibition with VivaTech, a major European technology event, strengthening links between Chinese digital industries and international innovation networks.

More than 200 companies will present technologies across data, computing, and AI models, highlighting applications in emergency management, human resources, logistics, construction, healthcare, and other fields.

The exhibition reflects the expanding role of AI from technology demonstration to integration into real-world business operations.
