The 2026 Hangzhou International Human Resources Exchange and Cooperation Conference opened on Sept 28 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, showcasing how the city is using AI to improve talent recruitment, commercialize technology, and support innovators.
More than 360 employers offered 7,000 positions at the recruitment fair, with AI-related companies accounting for more than 80 percent of participating employers. More than half of the vacancies were in technology research and development. An AI job assistant matched candidates with companies and positions based on their resumes and career preferences.
The conference also marked the launch of version 3.0 of the "Zhizhe" large model for technology transfer. The system draws on information on 2.2 million technology companies nationwide, profiles 150,000 experts and scholars, and catalogs more than 1.3 million scientific and technological achievements. It has helped commercialize more than 1,000 projects, generating over 6 billion yuan ($894.56 million) in technology transactions.
More than 200 global innovators and entrepreneurs also took part in an "AI Plus" industry matchmaking event, with projects spanning AI, life sciences, advanced equipment, and materials and environmental technologies.
The conference also launched the international academic journal AI Plus and unveiled platforms including the Hangzhou AI Open Source Ecosystem Academy. A joint AI education and practice base was also established by universities, research institutes, and leading technology companies.
