More than 7,200 job openings were offered by over 200 employers at the 2026 Spring Hangzhou Human Resources Exchange Conference, held on Feb 28 at West Lake Cultural Square.

The event drew nearly 10,000 jobseekers and resulted in the signing of 3,200 employment agreements.

The fair featured six dedicated zones covering recruitment, policy consultation, career guidance, entrepreneurship showcases, skills demonstrations and creative markets, providing what organizers described as comprehensive, one-stop employment services.

Many attendees traveled from neighboring cities. Shen Jiawen, a cross-border e-commerce graduate from Zhejiang Wanli University, said Hangzhou offers wide range of opportunities for fresh graduates, including roles open to candidates without prior work experience. Another jobseeker, Yang Jing, a finance graduate from University of Queensland, cited the city's inclusive workplace culture and emerging sectors such as AI animation and drone operations as key attractions.

Skills training booths at the fair were crowded. A local vocational school promoted AI-focused courses in cross-border e-commerce and social media content production, targeting in-demand digital skills.

The event also highlighted 10 selected startup projects, including a floor-cleaning robot developed by Hangzhou-based iTR Robotics, offering networking opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs.
