Hangzhou International Airport handled about 10.14 million passenger trips in 2026 as of March 14, up 5.5 percent year-on-year, with overseas passenger traffic reaching 1.01 million, an increase of 8.0 percent.
Inbound tourism to Zhejiang grew during the Spring Festival travel rush, with border inspection authorities in Hangzhou processing more than 40,000 inbound foreign visitor trips, up 33.6 percent from a year earlier. Among them, more than 25,000 entered under visa-free policies, marking a 46 percent year-on-year increase.
Flight capacity has been expanded since the start of the year to meet rising travel demand. International and regional routes have also been strengthened, with additional flights to Hong Kong, Singapore, Macao, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur, Jeju, Ho Chi Minh City, and Phuket.
A total of 75 domestic and international airlines are now operating at the airport, with its route network continuing to expand and its role as a regional aviation hub further strengthened.
