Yue State belt buckles on display in Xiaoshan

At the Maowanli Stamped Pottery Museum in Xiaoshan district, Hangzhou, more than 300 bronze belt buckles from the Yue State of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty (770-256 BC) are now on display.
With their diverse shapes and vivid patterns, these palm-sized objects showcase extraordinary craftsmanship. Once worn by Yue nobility, they were not just practical fasteners, but symbols of personal taste, social status, and refined elegance.
