A breakthrough has been made on the construction of the Yuhang International Sports Center with the completion of the roof's cable tensioning.

This follows the full closure of the steel roof structure late last year, signaling that the project's core support system is now firmly in place.

As the skeleton of the professional football stadium's roof, the complex system consists of eight ring cables, 80 radial cables, 120 struts, and 320 cable clamps. This intricate network functions like an umbrella frame that will support the upcoming membrane roof.

According to the construction team, the tensioning process took 17 days to complete, involving an overall lift height of 48 meters.

With the primary structural framework now visible, the project is entering its next phase. Construction will soon shift toward the installation of the curtain walls, metal roofing, and the outer membrane structure.

Located in Hangzhou, progress on the landmark sports hub remains on track and is expected to be completed by 2027.
