More than 60 international buyers and diplomats gathered in Hangzhou on March 26 for a face-to-face trade matchmaking event designed to connect local companies with global markets.

Organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Hangzhou Committee and partners, the event brought together diplomats from six countries and buyers from regions including Europe, South Asia and Central Asia. Over 200 Hangzhou enterprises participated across sectors such as textiles, construction materials, auto parts and hardware.

In the textile and apparel section, negotiations were brisk as overseas buyers met directly with suppliers. Local firms showcased products ranging from fashion garments to high-end fabrics, securing preliminary orders and building long-term contacts.

In the construction materials section, a German buyer expressed confidence in Hangzhou's manufacturing quality, citing promising cooperation prospects after multiple on-site discussions.

An exhibition area featuring over 30 companies added to the momentum, displaying products ranging from smart devices to cultural goods and cross-border logistics solutions.

Officials said the event reflects a government-led, enterprise-driven model aimed at helping companies access global resources without leaving the city, accelerating Hangzhou's push for international trade expansion.
