The China Pavilion exhibition Dream Stream opened on May 8 at the 61st Venice International Art Biennale, showcasing a series of works that explore the fusion of art, science, and technology in the digital era.

Organized by China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism and curated by the Art Museum of China Academy of Art, the exhibition is led by Academy President Yu Xuhong, aiming to revitalize Eastern cultural traditions through contemporary artistic expression.

Under the theme of "innovation from tradition and integration of art and technology", the exhibition presents 10 works and installations, including Light of Liangzhu, Free Journey, Micro-Nano Landscape, and Dream of Streams, alongside a special appearance of Black Myth: Wukong, which features game-derived sculptures and video art, marking its debut on a major international art platform.

Other highlights include a large-scale calligraphy installation Zhuangzi's Free and Easy Wandering by artist Wang Dongling and an AI-assisted robotic performance that replicates his brushwork, reflecting the dialogue between classical aesthetics and emerging technologies.

The exhibition runs until Nov 22, offering an immersive experience that bridges tradition, innovation, and the evolving language of contemporary Chinese art.
