Hangzhou Children's Choir preaches peace in Chinese Foreign Ministry video
A heartfelt choral performance by the Hangzhou Children's Choir and the One Voice Children's Choir from the United States has been featured in the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs' promotional video Peaceful Coexistence.
Filmed on the scenic banks of the West Lake, the joint performance captures Chinese and American children singing side by side, symbolizing friendship, mutual understanding, and cultural exchange through music.
The collaboration traces back to a January 2025 cultural exchange event in Hangzhou titled "Voices Meet West Lake", where the two choirs performed Chinese and English pieces together, including Dreaming Paradise, As Wished, and a jointly created song We Are Together.
The cross-cultural performance has been widely praised as a vivid example of people-to-people diplomacy, highlighting how music can bridge cultures and convey a shared message of peace and goodwill.
