Chinese classic bridges East and West at 'Light of Liangzhu' concert
At the "Light of Liangzhu" concert in Hangzhou, the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Zhejiang Symphony Orchestra shared the stage for a special musical dialogue. The Chinese classic "Moonlit Night on the Spring River" was presented in two artistic forms: a Western symphonic version and an Eastern pipa concerto interpretation. Through the same melody, musicians from China and the United States explored a unique conversation between cultures, traditions and musical languages.
