The international tour of the World in Poetry, Great Mountains and Rivers exhibition opened on May 19 at the Zhejiang Tourism Vocational College, coinciding with the 16th China Tourism Day.

The exhibition runs until May 26 and is open to the public.

It features over 80 poems by contemporary landscape poet Wei Bai, each paired with AI-generated creative artworks. By combining poetry, landscape aesthetics, and digital art, it presents iconic mountains and rivers across the world through a fusion of traditional Chinese verse and modern technology.

The touring exhibition was jointly initiated by high-profile international figures including former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and former German President Christian Wulff, aiming to celebrate the beauty of the planet and promote shared environmental stewardship.

It also marks a first-of-its-kind global poetry touring format, with planned exhibitions across major cities in Asia, Europe, and the Americas. In addition, it integrates poetry, visual art, and AI across five continents, offering bilingual poetic expression for global audiences.

The Hangzhou exhibition is being held at the Zhejiang Tourism Museum (No 399 Gengwen Road, Xiaoshan district, Hangzhou), located on the north campus of Zhejiang Tourism Vocational College.
