Hangzhou brings culture, tech together at Shenzhen cultural expo

Hangzhou showcased the city's blend of a thousand years of cultural heritage and cutting-edge innovation at the 22nd China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair, which opened on May 21.

As a key part of Zhejiang's 1,200-square-meter pavilion, the Hangzhou section brought together more than a dozen cultural, digital and technology enterprises to present a new vision of cultural development powered by innovation.

Among the highlights, Huace Group presented its self-developed Guose AI model, designed to support film production and international communication in nearly 20 languages, improving content creation efficiency by 30 percent. Unitree Robotics drew crowds with live performances by its humanoid robot G1, demonstrating dance and martial arts capabilities.

Scantech showcased portable 3D scanning solutions capable of digitally capturing artifacts and artworks for applications including cultural heritage archiving and restoration.

Xiling Seal Society displayed seal-engraving works inspired by the Ten Scenes of West Lake, while Hangzhou Publishing House exhibited the monumental Wenlan Pavilion edition of Siku Quanshu, one of the world's largest reproduced classical collections.

Creative consumer culture was also on display through original designer toys, intangible cultural heritage crafts, and contemporary ceramic art.
