Hangzhou's Digital Trade Goes Global delegation made a strong debut at VivaTech 2026 in Paris, showcasing the city's cutting-edge technologies and expanding international cooperation.

During the event, French President Emmanuel Macron tried AI smart glasses developed by Hangzhou-based Rokid and experienced their real-time translation function, while Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam praised the technology as "Amazing."

Held from June 17 to 20, the Digital Trade Goes Global pavilion brought together seven Hangzhou companies in fields including artificial intelligence, quantum technology, visual intelligence, integrated circuits, virtual reality and digital entertainment. Their innovations, including quadruped robots, AI glasses, quantum computing devices and VR products, attracted global attention from more than 200,000 professional visitors.

The exhibition also generated tangible business opportunities. Rokid reached a strategic partnership with French optical retailer Krys and will expand into local retail channels and major e-commerce platforms. Pimax secured potential cooperation with French VR studios and purchase intentions for its new products, while Logical Qubit explored quantum computing applications with global companies including EDF and Siemens.

During VivaTech, Hangzhou Convention & Exhibition Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the event organizer, further strengthening exchanges between Hangzhou and Europe's digital innovation ecosystem.

As a city building itself into a global hub for AI and digital trade, Hangzhou will continue promoting international cooperation and helping its technology companies expand overseas markets through platforms such as the Global Digital Trade Expo.
