The 2026 Hangzhou-Belt and Road Countries and Regions Business Matchmaking Seminar was held from June 25 to 26, bringing together diplomats, business officials, representatives of related institutions, and local private companies to explore cooperation opportunities.

The event featured remarks from representatives of consulates, Hangzhou enterprises, and Xiaoshan district, as well as a new country- and region-specific matchmaking session designed to help local companies find business opportunities overseas.

Officials said diplomatic and business institutions from Belt and Road countries can serve as bridges for deeper cooperation by introducing investment opportunities, resources, and projects to Hangzhou, while providing market information and policy guidance for local enterprises.

Since its launch in 2015, the annual event has invited 190 delegations from Belt and Road countries and regions and connected 1,393 Hangzhou private enterprises with international partners. It has become a key platform for promoting the city's private sector cooperation and international engagement.

During the event, overseas guests also visited several Hangzhou enterprises to learn about their operations and development.
