Ecuadorian students begin cultural exchange visit at Hangzhou school

A delegation from Simiao Weihua International School in Ecuador visited Tangqi No 2 Middle School in Hangzhou's Linping district on July 2, launching a two-day cultural exchange program between students from the two countries.
Representatives from the Hangzhou federation of returned overseas Chinese, the Linping district federation of returned overseas Chinese, the district education bureau, and the school attended the welcome ceremony.
During the event, both schools introduced their educational philosophies and exchanged gifts symbolizing friendship between Chinese and Ecuadorian youth. Officials said the program aims to strengthen mutual understanding and foster lasting ties through cultural exchange.

Following the ceremony, Chinese and Ecuadorian students took part in a choir performance and engaged in some hands-on activities featuring traditional Chinese culture, including Chinese painting and calligraphy.
Organizers said the program is part of ongoing efforts to promote international cultural exchange and create more opportunities for young people from China and Ecuador to learn from one another.
